Sumario: Objective: the objective of the present study was to evaluate and associate anthropometric, physical activity level and sleep hour in military police officers from Companhia Operações de Choque do Batalhão de Missoes Especiais do Espírito Santo. Methods: 61 military police officers from the Shock battalion stationed at SMB-ES voluntarily participated in this study. The characteristics and general perception of health and occupational indicators such as smoking habits, alcohol intake, presence of chronic disease, use of medication, health classification, hours of sleep and weekly time of physical activity were assessed through questionnaires. Data are presented as absolute frequency (n), relative frequency (%) for qualitative variables and mean and standard deviation for quantitative variables. The Pearson or Spearmen correlation test aims to identify the relationship between occupational, lifestyle and anthropometric parameters. The magnitude of the correlation followed the classification: r= 0.10 to 0.30 (weak), r= 0.40 to 0.60 (moderate) and r= 0.70 to 1.00 (strong). Results: No differences were found in age and length of service among the military. The number of hours of sleep differed (p<0.001) between the insufficient (5.46 ± 0.9) and sufficient (7.70 ± 0.4) groups. Significant differences (p<0.05) were found between the groups with insufficient and sufficient sleep in body mass, BMI, % fat, fat mass and waist circumference. No differences were found in fat-free mass, nor in physical activity times. None of the independent variables were significantly correlated with length of service. On the other hand, a weak negative correlation was observed between hours of sleep and fat percentage, as well as between hours of sleep and fat mass. Conclusion: The majority of soldiers from the Shock Operations Company assigned to the Special Missions Battalion of Espírito Santo had a good general perception of health indicators, with a high prevalence of physical activity even if they were overweight and moderate distribution of body fat.
