Sumario: The present study focuses its attention on the analysis of the Núcleo Afro Odomodê, a facility of the Municipal Government of Vitória/ES and the only public policy aimed specifically at black youth in Espírito Santo. Focused on the valorization of black culture and youth empowerment, Odomodê offers, on a monthly basis, a series of actions and activities afroreferenced to the teaching of ethnic-racial relations, such as study groups, dance workshops, workshops and vocational courses, outings, conversation circles, cultural events and social assistance; having as principles and guidelines the Municipal Youth Plan, the Youth Statute, Law No. 12.852/2013 and the Racial Equality Statute, Law No. 12.288/2010. The objective of this work is to understand how the Afro-Brazilian bodies of these young men and women relate to Afro cultures, related to the body culture of movement in Odomodê. The methodology was through an interpretative study with tools of participant observation, valuing field work. To this end, two paths were taken: the first was through the study of the planning documents for Odomodê's actions and the second was characterized by moments of participant observation using a field diary and semi-structured interviews with young people, social educators and coordinators of the equipment. From this, the research showed that the Afro-Brazilian youth of Odomodê, when in contact with the process of black empowerment, can use the elements of its dimensions and the body culture of movement to fight for racial equality.
