Summary: The study sought to investigate my pedagogical practice, in a municipal school in Vitória/ES, at EMEF - “Maria José Costa Moraes”, with students of the 8th years, in 2019. I realized over time that my action it was limited to the contents traditionally dealt with in PE classes (Futsal, Handball, Basketball, Volleyball), thus, the knowledge became repetitive for students in the final years of elementary school in PE classes, causing problems in participation. This problem was proven in the 2017 diagnostic evaluation, in which students expressed that they did not see importance in PE classes and the contents of PE for them were only those who had access in classes. Thus, it was necessary to rethink the pedagogical action, with the objective of expanding the repertoire of the students' body practices, for this I perceived as necessary the participation of the students in the choice of content and in planning decisions. Therefore, we chose Participative Planning as a strategy, as it questions the traditional planning dynamics in the most varied fields of its practice, causing the inversion of traditional planning relationships, that is, in the technocratic process they are vertical, WHEREas in the participatory one, there is a humanistic view of the person, providing horizontal relationships that are valued and assumed. The research included 66 interventions, divided into two Thematic Units chosen by them, which was the body practice of Shuttlecock and Badminton, students were protagonists in the process of building knowledge together with the teacher, through research and construction of classes. in addition, we prioritize evaluation as an investigative process, using portfolios and comic books as evaluation tools. The research is characterized as being qualitative, we use the principles of action research, since it demanded collective actions seeking changes in what was being investigated. The data collection instruments were the students' portfolios, the teacher's field diary, photos, footage and a semi-structured interview. Data analysis was carried out taking into account the content analysis, carried out in stages such as pre-analysis, exploration of the material and treatment of the data that were interpreted, establishing the framework of the research result. We realized that democratic actions within the school space, resulted in changes in teaching, the records contributed to narrate the experience, providing action-reflection-action of the intervention process, in addition, the research points to the students' feelings of belonging, being protagonists of actions.
