Summary: This study consists of an integrative literature review aimed at examining the relationship between yoga and education within the scope of school Physical Education, recognizing the potential of this field of knowledge in fostering an enriching encounter between body and mind through a theoretical-practical philosophy. Yoga, as a philosophical system, has undergone processes of reinterpretation over time and, in Brazil, has found a favorable context for cultural, educational, and therapeutic adaptations. Its incorporation into various fields of knowledge, especially Physical Education, has encouraged reflections on embodiment, well-being, and mental health. The interface between yoga and education proves particularly relevant when considering the preventive and therapeutic potential of the practice for the holistic health of children and adolescents, especially regarding the care of childhood mental disorders. The plurality of contemporary yoga enables educators to innovate, adapt, and expand its effects, fostering the creation of activities aimed at developing psychosocial skills and encouraging relaxation and self-care practices. In the educational context, yoga begins to acquire new meanings, inviting ethical and critical reflections on its cultural and pedagogical appropriation. Thus, when integrated into school Physical Education and aligned with public health policies and educational curriculum, yoga can represent a promising strategy for comprehensive care of children and adolescents, consistently contributing to the promotion of physical, mental, and social health within the school environment.
