Summary: The promotion integral education, full-time education, focusing on childhood and youth, has become a trend offered since the last decades of the 20th century, continuing into our century. In academic literature in the field of Physical Education we find a dense discourse about the role of sport in the integral development of those who practice it. On the other hand, there is not much content produced about comprehensive training with sport as a backdrop, mainly from the point of view of the meanings attributed by the subjects. The objective of this study is to understand the effects of appropriating the axiological discourse of integral education through sports in school physical education classes and in extracurricular sports activities based on the meanings attributed to students graduating from a full-time public school in the city of Vila Velha/ES. Its methodological reference is the exploratory, documentary character and the qualitative conception of phenomenological design guided by the studies of Sampieri, Collado and Lucio, (2014). We conclude that the axiological dimensions of comprehensive training through sport attributed to graduating students have principles capable of generating effects on the lives of the participants. However, we found that this process, in a dynamic way, may suffer impacts of an internal nature (senses and meanings of the participants) and external (class dynamics and teaching action). In this context, ‘health and quality of life’, ‘experience and competition’, ‘values and virtues’ and ‘socialization and social capital’ stand out.
